Bead Runner
Bead Runner is an arcade welding game in the spirit of the 2000s Flash classics. Flip down your helmet, strike the arc and drag the torch along the joint. The bead appears right behind you, cooling from white-hot to steel gray.
Progress through Career mode and earn your certs to become a welding Legend.
Thanks for checking it out - Dave
FEATURES
• Career mode:
– Take paid jobs from the shop's job board.
– Hit the client's minimum grade and the paycheck rolls in; an S pays 1.5×, and the daily featured job pays double.
– Rank up from Apprentice to Journeyman, Master and Legend for tougher, better-paying work.
– Pass certification tests to take Stick and TIG jobs.
• 3D builds:
– Four special projects: Grandma Edna's mailbox, a BBQ smoker, a go-kart frame and a robot buddy, unlocked as you rank up.
– The camera swings around the object to each of its four seams, and the whole build gets one grade.
– Each ends with its own payoff: the mail arrives, the smoker fires up, the kart drives off, the robot waves hello.
• Welding positions and the pipe turntable:
– Vertical-up jobs: gravity pulls the puddle down. Run too hot or too slow and it sags, then drips.
– Overhead jobs: sparks rain down on you, and drips splat on your helmet lens.
– Turntable jobs: the table spins the pipe under your torch, with motor surges you have to ride.
• 28 medals worth 505 points, from "First Bead" to "Best Friends". Unlocks pop up as you play, and the Medals case shows what's left.
• Supply Shop:
– Spend your pay on lens tints, spark colors, wire finishes (copper, black oxide, 24K gold) and torch skins. Looks apply in every mode.
– Small, capped gear upgrades work in Career only, so Training and Shift Mode stay fair.
• Three welding processes that play differently:
– MIG: hold and drag. The forgiving starter.
– Stick: strike the rod like a match and don't let it stick. Swap spent rods, then chip the slag off against the clock.
– TIG: tap Space in rhythm to dab filler into the puddle. Nail the beat for perfect stacked-dime ripples.
• Training: 15 levels with straight butt joints, curves, S-bends, tight zigzags and a drifting pipe joint. Earn 1–3 stars per level.
• Shift Mode: an endless conveyor of random seams. Good welds grow your score multiplier. Three welds below a C and your shift is over.
CONTROLS
• Mouse or touch: hold and drag to weld
• Space (or a second finger): dab TIG filler, chip slag
• P / Esc: pause
• M: sound: on, music off, all off
